Hi, I'm Laika.
Or at least that's my penname. I'm a nineteen-year-old writer based in Hong Kong. I am twenty years old. I am a poet. I am not so old but sometimes when I notice out of the corner of my eye that my glasses prescription is worsening I feel it.
My favourite poet is Richard Siken. My favourite poem of his is Wishbone.
This website is a collection of my writing which I think is "complete". I will periodically go insane and delete half of it.
I use the neutral "they" pronoun. I like video games. I skip classes sometimes because I don't know what to say. I prefer classic English literature because they don't have stupid rules like your sentences can't be run-on or you have to be clear and use the pronouns this way. Quotation marks are optional and so, apparently, are physical descriptions of the character you're following. I read The Castle of Otranto and understand fuck all. But I prefer it that way.
Clarity is the enemy of my emotions. I don't like to name. I've always been like this. From the time I could talk. My stuffed toys' names are as follows: Panda, Monkey, Baby Monkey, Axolotl, Cat, Penguin, Zuko, Waddles, Smaller Panda, and Totoro.
